Who is a hammam towel suitable for?
We offer many beautiful colors and designs, whether for women or men, children or babies - you will find your dream color. What types of hammam towels are there?
We basically offer 3 types: The "normal" variant either with a basic color and white stripes or different colored stripes. This material is the most densely woven, so it absorbs less water - you can still dry yourself off perfectly with it and has the advantage that you can lie on it immediately afterwards without the uncomfortable feeling that you would be lying on a wet towel.Furthermore the Abeille variant: Nid Abeille translates as honeycomb and is the namesake of these beautiful scarves. The threads are woven here in a honeycomb shape, which makes it particularly soft and absorbent. These towels come in really beautiful colors with white thin stripes on the ends.
As a third variant, we have foutas with lurex stripes: In this luxurious variant, instead of white threads, lurex threads (gold threads) are woven into the ends. These give the hammam towels a really classy look. The fabric itself is very absorbent and if you are afraid that the threads would be scratchy, we can give the all-clear here: These are really only woven into a small part of the fabric, ensure a great look and in no way reduce the comfort of the soft surface.
Where and how are our foutas made?
Our hammam towels are made in Tunisia and finished by hand. We work directly with small local weaving mills. In the old tradition, a wide variety of patterns and colors are created on the loom from 100% cotton threads. The fringes are tied by hand and give these great sauna towels or beach towels the characteristic oriental appearance. Due to the magnificent colors and beautiful patterns, these bath towels have triggered a real boom in Europe in recent years - modern, trendy colors make them an eye-catcher in thermal baths, saunas, on the beach, swimming pool or lake.100% top quality
There are many manufacturers of hammam towels, many come from Turkey or India and are unfortunately of inferior quality, the fabrics too thin, the seams unclean and are made under poor working conditions - the towels quickly get holes or deform. In contrast, we only offer the best premium quality and the most beautiful colors. Our fabrics are very hard-wearing, are perfectly sewn and the colors remain as they were on the first day even after being washed several times. By the way, these become even softer with every wash! When you buy our hammam towels online, you know that you can expect the best quality at a fair price. At the price: we are proud to offer you the Hamamtücher von ANNA ANIQ To be able to offer. They work directly with the weavers and make sure that the weavers receive fair wages. What are our hammam towels made of?
These are made from 100% natural cotton - the pure cotton thread is processed into a cloth on looms in various weaving styles. The law already forbids the use of undesirable chemicals there, the great properties arise purely from the art of how these threads are woven. The fringes are tied in a nice round with tea and "coffee gossip" by mostly older women. The history of the hammam towels
Hammam towel care and washing
Our foutas are best washed at 30-40 ° C in the washing machine. They become even softer with each wash. Depending on the variant, they are better to air dry (which is really very quick) than in the dryer. In the tumble dryer this can unfortunately warp a little with complicated weaving patterns, but can also be ironed out again if necessary. We therefore generally recommend air drying. The difference to a normal terry towel / terry towel
Terry towels are also very absorbent, but dry very slowly and draw moisture into the interior. You probably know the feeling when you want to dry yourself off with a wet bath towel or have to lie on it - extremely uncomfortable! In contrast, you can dry yourself off just as perfectly with our sauna towels, but the moisture is not sucked too much into the interior and thus they dry very quickly - perfect for the swimming pool or sauna.Furthermore, a terry towel takes up a lot of space and is not only very heavy when wet - our towels are thin, can be folded up very small and super light. A fouta weighs only between 300 and 400g, which is 1/3 of a normal towel, and also only takes up a fraction of its space in your pocket or suitcase.
